Tonight: Kevin Love Takes Over @Sprint

Tonight, Sprint’s partnership with Twitter and the NBA is moving at full force. At 9:00pm EST, NBA star Kevin Love will take over @Sprint on Twitter to live-tweet game four of the NBA Finals. Fans can follow @Sprint and tweet #KLoveTakeover to join the conversation.

In addition, the #NBARapidReplay deal, which came out of the Digitas NewFront, continues tonight. Sprint, in partnership with the NBA and Twitter, will deliver instant replays of the best moments from the game. It’s the first time that real-time video technology in tweets has been used for professional sports, giving fans timely and spectacular content in-Tweet.

Sprint at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3)

Not a basketball fan? Sprint also partnered with IGN.com this week to deliver unlimited access to those not attending the exclusive E3 in Los Angeles. Using questions and requests from #E3Unlimited tweets, IGN editors have been taping their experience at different booths and interviews throughout the week as an exclusive behind-the-scenes E3 VIP experience.

To help promote their E3 VIP, Sprint has signed on as the first Digitas client for our exclusive native ad distribution partnership with The Huffington Post. Their ad unit links back to the IGN E3 VIP page and lives on The Huffington Post's Tech, Green, and Science sections. Check it out on the right-hand side of those pages, under Partner Content - it's been pushing out a different event photo for all three days of E3.

Team Sprint gave Sprint and non-Sprint customers the opportunity to be mom’s favorite by sending a reminder to call and wish her a happy Mother’s Day—on May 12th, and any time of the year after that. Visit Now.Sprint.com/CallMom, enter mom’s number, choose when they’re free to chat, and Sprint will send a text reminder at that time.
 
Because calling Mom on Mother’s Day has its rewards, but calling for no reason after her special day has even more of them.

Digitas at CES: Coming to you LIVE from Las Vegas

In 2012, we told you about BrandLIVE, a new agency model and technology suite that creates relevance and value for brands every day. In 2013, we've teamed up with Sprint to bring BrandLIVE to CES as their social media content hub. A dedicated team is monitoring headlines and social buzz to bring CES attendees (and those just following along on their social networks) the best content in real-time.

What does that entail? One of the big themes is about eco-innovation. In fact, if you've got an idea for green technology, share it with Sprint (use #SprintCES)  and they'll illustrate some of their favorites. For instance, CNET's Brian Cooley wanted to see a self-driving car.

Team Sprint debuts "Holiday Medley with Victoria Justice & Max Schneider"

Team Sprint, comprised of Digitas and Leo Burnett, introduces a new holiday music video medley with YouTube music producer, filmmaker, and vlogger KurtHugoSchneider. The music video features Nickelodeon celebrities Victoria Justice and Max Schneider, and will drive awareness of Sprint’s holiday sale offers on a variety of phones.

The brand partnership with KurtHugoSchneider and the use of smartphones to tell a music video story during the holidays are both unprecedented. And it’s a hit— KurtHugoSchneider uploaded the video to his 1.6m+ YouTube channel subscribers this weekend, and it’s received close to 500,000 views.

The music video is shot in one take, with no visual effects or editing trickery. In addition, a verbal call to action at the end of the video asks viewers to click on a link that will drive them to www.sprint.com/holiday, where they can check out all Sprint holiday sale offerings.
