Cessna, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of business jets, debuted a new augmented reality app that lets users explore four different Citation jets inside and out.* Launched during the 2013 NBAA conference, this is the brand’s first foray into mobile augmented reality, with an accompanying AR-enabled jet brochure that’s new to the private aviation industry.
Traditionally, aircraft transactions began with the exchange of a standard 2D pamphlet between a sales rep and a prospective buyer. Now, if you’re interested in a Citation Jet, you can get a 3D interactive experience that no other brochure in the private aviation can deliver at this time.
The app is the newest part of a larger, ongoing brand campaign that launched in the U.S. earlier this year, and will extend globally in 2014. In partnership with DigitasLBi, Cessna launched a bold new look and feel for its brand, including a redesigned UX-optimized website and new positioning for its line of Citation jets: We have your jet.
